Bengaluru: Policeman Stops Pakistani Fan from Chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’: Video Goes Viral
A purported video clip of a Pakistani cricket fan being stopped from chanting 'Pakistan Zindabad' by a cop has gone viral on social media sites on Friday.
Apparently, the incident occurred at M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the Pakistan versus Australia match at the ongoing Cricket World Cup.
The video, now widely circulating on the internet, captures the Pakistani fan having an argument with the police officer for asking him not to chant 'Pakistan Zindabad'.

The cricket fan tries to convince the cop that he is from Pakistan and it is natural that he supports his homeland. However, many people have disapproved of the behaviour of the cop.
Check out netizens' reaction:
"This is my problem. They are fans of Pakistan allowed by us with a visa. As long as they aren't breaking any law, why should it concern who they cheer? The police officer seems worried more than concerned and isn't sure why he had to ask the fan to stop cheering for his team. We all need to know where to draw our line when it comes to guests. If we don't want them, let's not give them visas. But we have to uphold the dignity of a sport," a user said.
Another user asked: Why did India give them Visa if they can't cheer their team ? It's ridiculous.
Third user stated, "If the person is Pakistani and if he has been given a valid visa, he has full right to support Pakistan on Indian soil. He can say anything in the favor of Pakistan, unless it is not derogatory towards other nations."
"I am an Indian Nationalist but this is a boundary we should not cross. He is cheering for his team. Let him," fourth added.
However, one user defended the cop's behaviour and said, "To avoid conflict and riots, you know how our crowd is, tomorrow they get violent and take law in their hands, to prevent that they are saying not to chant pakistan zindabad."
