Chennai Super Kings (CSK)'s debutant Urvil Patel emerged as a star in IPL encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens. Signed as a replacement for Vansh Bedi, the 26-year-old wicket-keeper batsman stepped into the playing XI, showcasing his skills under the leadership of MS Dhoni. Urvil scored first runs in IPL with a big sixer and then converted it into a blitzkrieg inning.

Urvil Patel, primarily known for his explosive batting in the T20 format, has become a topic of interest among cricket fans. Before being called up by CSK, Patel was part of the Gujarat Titans in 2023, although he didn't get to play any matches for them. This performance not only set him apart from his peers but also caught the attention of IPL scouts, especially after a jaw-dropping century against Tripura, where he scored 100 runs off just 28 balls.
