Time For Virat Kohli To Take Retirement? Here's What Former Indian Cricketer Suggests BCCI
In view to back to back to flop shows by ace Indian batter Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma, critics, fans and former players have started questioning the caliber and age of talismanic players.
So far, in the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Rohit Sharma only managed to collect 31 runs at an average of 6, while Virat Kohli notched just 167 runs at an average of 27.

Fans, who had high hopes from Indian team and senior players, are now suggesting to take retirement and pave the way for the young talent.
Amidst suggestions of retirement for Rohit Sharma, Ex-India cricketer Atul Wassan has asked the BCCI to keep a retirement plan ready for Virat Kohli as well.
"Virat has got runs, but he also knows what's happening. They are very sorted mentally. A player always thinks that 'my best is around the corner'. I'll do it just now.' It's such a long spell; it's hurting the team, and there is questioning, saying you should be dropped. A lynch mob comes after you," Atul Wassan said.
Former cricketer also added that senior players also know what is going on. "I think an exit plan, like a succession policy, must be clear, it's not fair on the management, the team, and the cricketing structure, we don't know what's there in their mind," he said.
Notably, Virat Kohli managed to score only 3 test centuries in last 5 years and his continuous flop show has raised questions on his spot in them.
