Team India Meets PM Modi: Hours after landing in India, the World Cup-winning Indian Cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday at his residence. Prime Minister congratulated the entire team, support staff, and officials for achieving the feat.
India bagged the T20 World Cup after a long wait of 17 years. PM Modi had breakfast with Team India and some chit-chat with players, which surely made their day.

Indian players were joined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for photo session after the facilitation. But something special was noted by the fans when a team picture was being clicked. PM Modi didn't lift the cup, instead he held hands of skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid, cementing the message that it was well earned by the players.

After meeting Prime Minister, Team India flew to Mumbai, where a victory parade will take place. According to the BCCI officials, the victory procession will be held between Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium at around 4 pm to 5 pm.
Skipper Rohit Sharma called fans to Wankhede Stadium to be a part of the celebrations of Team India's World Cup victory. In a post on X, Rohit Sharma said, "We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So let's celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4, 2024, from 5:00 pm onwards. It's coming home ❤️🏆"
"It's a good feeling. After a long time, India won the World Cup and after winning the World Cup, they are going to be welcomed at the land of Cricket, Mumbai. Not only in Mumbai but Cricket is a religion in the entire India," said MCA member Jitendra Awhad on Team India's arrival.
