T20 World Cup 2024 Prize Money: In a neck-and-neck contest between India and South Africa, the Men in Blue outclassed Proteas by 7 runs in the T20 World Cup 2024 finals. Indians around the world are celebrating the historic victory that came after a long wait of 17 years.
Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India won the second T20 World Cup. MS Dhoni brought us the maiden T20 cup in 2007.
Meanwhile, cricket fans are also excited to know how much money winner and runners-up of the T20 World Cup 2024 got along with the glittering trophy.

According to the reports, Rohit Sharma's team has been awarded a whopping Rs 21.13 crore as prize money for winning the world tournament. Team India won eight consecutive matches in the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies.
While runner-up of the tournament, South Africa bagged Rs 12.01 crore for finishing in the second spot.
England and Afghanistan, who were eliminated in the semis, were rewarded Rs 6.55 crore for each for reaching the top four.
Teams also added Rs 25.9 lakh to their kitty for each win in the group stages, while teams who qualified for Super 8 stages got extra Rs 3.18 crore each.
The cricket governing body has also acknowledged efforts done by teams finishing from the 13th to 20th spot. These teams got Rs 1.87 crore each despite their early elimination.
Player of the Tournament-Jasprit Bumrah got extra $15000, Player of the Match in Final-Virat Kohli $5000, and for taking the Smart Catch of the Tournament, which turned things in India's favor, Suryakumar Yadav was awarded $3000.
