T20 Asia Cup 2024: Indian Captain Harmanpreet Kaur Faces A Weird Question From Journalist, Then Gives A Blunt
Sri Lanka's Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium is all set to host a high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan. Women's cricket teams from both arch-rival countries will lock horns, eyeing 2 points in the league stage match. In the eight-team tournament, India and Pakistan have been placed in group A along with Nepal and United Arab Emirates (UAE). In Group B, host Sri Lanka has been placed with Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Ahead of the beginning of the tournament today, captains of all teams participated in the photoshoot with the glittering trophy and addressed the media to express their intentions to clinch the title. While interacting with a journalist, Harmanpreet Kaur faced a weird question to which she gave a befitting reply.

A reporter asked Harmanpreet about the lack of coverage for Women's cricket since India's tour of Bangladesh, to which, the cricketer smiled and said that it is not her job, you people (journalists) have to cover matches.
"Well, that's none of my business. You guys have to come and cover us," she said while laughing over the question asked.
Her answer was enough to open the eyes of people who only support men's cricket and do not show equal interest in women's cricket.
Earlier, during India vs Bangladesh series, the Indian captain had openly criticized match officials for poor umpiring that led to a row, so the journalist was trying to frame a question based on that, but he himself fell into the trap he was trying to fabricate for the Indian captain.
Team India has won the T20 Asia Cup 7 times out of 8 occasions, while Bangladesh emerged victorious once.
