RCB Fans Stampede Videos: 11 Dead Near M Chinnaswamy Stadium While Trying To Enter Stadium
RCB Fans Stampede Videos: The Karnataka government's celebration for Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL 2025 victory ended in tragedy. A stampede at Vidhana Soudha resulted in 11 deaths and 50 injuries. The event was meant to honour RCB's first Indian Premier League title after 18 years, but the overwhelming crowd led to chaos before it even started. Thousands gathered to see their cricket heroes, causing overcrowding and jostling at the gates.
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar acknowledged the fatalities but refrained from providing further details. He stated, "I can't confirm the numbers yet. I'm going to the stadium, now. Lot of emotional fans .. .. we had deployed 5,000 personnel," when speaking to media about security measures. As the crowd grew outside the stadium, police used mild force to manage the situation.

Political Reactions and Blame
The incident quickly became political, with BJP blaming Congress for poor planning and crowd control failures. BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya expressed his views on X, stating that a celebration turned into a nightmare due to administrative negligence. He emphasised that accountability must be established as lives were lost due to oversight rather than chance.
Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya called for calm amidst the chaos. He urged citizens of Namma Bengaluru to celebrate responsibly and not let this joyous occasion be overshadowed by tragedy. Meanwhile, visuals from the scene showed injured individuals being rushed for medical assistance.
Transport Disruptions
In response to the massive crowds, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) suspended services at Cubbon Park and Dr BR Ambedkar Vidhana Soudha metro stations from 4:30 pm onwards until further notice. This decision was made to ensure safety amid the ongoing situation.
