Soon after India registered a thumping victory against South Africa by 6 runs to win the T20 World Cup 2024, Indian cricket fans from around the world congratulated Team India through social media platforms and shared lovely messages. Rohit Sharma and men stayed unbeaten during the entire tournament and their hard work paid off as India won the glittering trophy after 17 years.
India won first T20 World Cup in 2007 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, and now, skipper Rohit Sharma has done it again.

Prime Minister Modi shared a video message for Rohit Sharma and his men congratulating them. He said that nation is proud of them. "CHAMPIONS! Our team brings the T20 World Cup home in STYLE! We are proud of the Indian Cricket Team, This match was HISTORIC. 🇮🇳 🏏 🏆," PM Modi said.
Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi also tweeted for Team India. Congress MP said "Congratulations to Team India on a spectacular World Cup Victory and a phenomenal performance throughout the tournament!"
"Surya, what a brilliant catch! Rohit, this win is a testament to your leadership. Rahul, I know team India will miss your guidance. The spectacular Men in Blue have made our country proud," he added.
