Sledge Virat Kohli: Monty Panesar Tells English Side Ahead Of India vs England Test Series

India vs England: Team India is all set to host England for a five-test series, starting from January 25 to March 7, 2024. India vs England Test series will be a part of the World Test Championship. These five tests between both the top-notch teams will be played at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharmshala. Ahead of the start of this enthralling battle, former cricketer Monty Panesar shared some tips with the English side that might help in giving a strong challenge to India. According to a report published in India.com, Panesar told Englishmen to test Virat Kohli's patience and try to 'mentally pinch' him.

Panesar also underlined India being a 'choker' when it comes to international competitions.

Indian batter Virat Kohli

"Play with his ego and get psychologically stuck into him. They should also say things to him like, you guys are chokers when it comes to the final. They should sledge him on those lines because Stokes has won the ODI and T20 WC and Kohli has not and that is going to mentally pinch him," Panesar told India.com.

Panesar also highlighted an interesting battle between Virat Kohli and speedster James Anderson, who is a master of swing in modern-day cricket.

However, Virat Kohli's skill, power, and class need no introduction.

"I think it will be James Anderson and I think it will be the reverse swing that would get Kohli," he added.

If we look at the head-to-head records between India and England, the English side looks heavier on paper. Out of these 131 matches, Team India emerged victorious on 31 occasions, while England bagged 50 wins. 50 matches resulted in a draw.
