Shubman Gill Vs Zak Crawley Last Over Drama: Tim Southee Says Indian Captain Did Same A Day Ago, Criticises

The last over drama between Shubman Gill and Zak Crawley on the third day of India vs England Lord's test gave nostalgia to cricket lovers. Sourav Ganguly waving t-shirt at Lord's balcony, Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Flintoff exchanging heated words, and Yuvraj Singh slamming 6 sixes, India vs England encounters have always been special.

Cricket fans love to watch animated on-field scenes between the two sides.

With only a few minutes left in the last session of day 3, Zak Crawley deliberately started wasting time to avoid facing 2 overs from Indian pacers. The English batter refused to play twice. First, he raised an issue with the sight screen, then he called a physio on the field to waste time. Both incidents provoked Indian players.

Shubman Gill Vs Zak Crawley

Skipper Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah made sarcastic statements to Zak Crawley.

Jasprit Bumrah sarcastically clapped in front of Zak, while Shubman Gill asked him to "be brave and bat."

Several cricket pundits did not like whatever happened onfield, but fans enjoyed it to the fullest.

Tim Southee, England's bowling consultant, playfully reminded Shubman Gill of his own mid-game massage after the Indian captain criticised Zak Crawley for wasting time.

After the day's play ended, Tim Southee commented on the incident, appreciating the energy from both teams. "It's good, always exciting to see both sides animated towards the end," he said.

Southee also referenced Gill's on-field treatment on Day 2 that briefly halted play. "Not sure what they were complaining about - Gill was lying down getting a massage in the middle of the day yesterday," he added. This subtle jab highlighted the irony in Gill's criticism of Crawley's actions.
