Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Is A Top Contender For Title: Ex-India Cricketer
Former India Captain Anjum Chopra on Wednesday lauded the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and called the team a much more balanced side ahead of the Women's Premier League (WPL 2024). The second edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL 2024) will commence on February 23, 2024, in which, five teams-namely Delhi Capitals (DC), Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriorz will lock horns. Last year, all matches were held in Mumbai giving an edge to the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side, and this time Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) can encash the opportunity to play at the home ground, Anjum Chopra said.
Chopra said RCB may play horses for courses this edition as the Bangalore franchise doesn't need to rely on two or three players. Praising the team management, she added that RCB is powered by international and domestic talent for WPL 2024.

Anjum predicted that Mumbai Indians would once again be the frontrunners, however she added that Smriti Mandhana's Royal Challengers Bangalore is also a strong contender to poise the tournament.
"Mumbai Indians will clearly start as the favourites for the simple reason that they are the defending champions. They know how to win matches. In totality, as a franchise, the kind of management and the king of players they bought. Talking about the squad, Delhi also did not change anything. I will put in RCB in the midst of things for season 2. On paper, they are a very balanced squad and they will aim to get the performances right this time. They are definitely the one to look out for in this season," said Anjum.
