The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hired a special chartered plane to bring back stranded players, support staff, officials, and Indian media personnel, who were traveling along the team to cover the T20 World Cup 2024.

It was around 6 am when Air India flight carrying the T20 world champions landed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi and around 7am, Indian players walked out the airport to board the team bus.

They were welcomed amid loud 'India-India' cheer by fans holding placards in hand.

Players also could not stop themselves and started dancing to 'Dhol'. Skipper Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav and other players were all in smiles when they started dancing outside the Delhi airport right before boarding their bus.

According to the day plan, Team India will first meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and then fly to Mumbai, where a victory parade will take place between Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium.

The victory march will be held between 5 and 7 pm, and thousands of Indian cricket fans are expected to witness the facilitation. The BCCI has announced to give Rs 125 Crores as reward to World Cup-winning Team India.
