India's Bowling Performance

In the pink-ball warm-up match at Manuka Oval, Harshit Rana stood out with impressive bowling figures of 4-44. India bowled out the Australian Prime Minister's XI for 240 runs in 43.2 overs. The match had been reduced to a 50-over contest due to rain washing out day one of the two-day tour match.

India chose to bowl first in this curtailed game. Young batter Sam Konstas made a significant impact with a century off 90 balls, adding pressure on Australia's struggling batter Marnus Labuschagne and debutant opener Nathan McSweeney, who didn't perform well in Perth.
Konstas' Impressive Century

Despite some rain interruptions reducing the game to 46 overs per side, Konstas showcased his skills with classic stroke-play. He scored 107 runs off 97 balls, hitting 14 fours and a six at a strike rate of 110.3. His partnership of 109 runs with Jack Clayton (40) was crucial for PM's XI.

Rana played a pivotal role in bringing India back into contention by dismissing Clayton, Ollie Davies, Jack Edwards, and Sam Harper, leaving PM's XI struggling at 138/7.
Partnerships and Dismissals

Konstas found support from Hanno Jacobs as they built an eighth-wicket stand of 67 runs. After reaching his century, Konstas was caught in the deep off Akash Deep's delivery. Jacobs contributed with a score of 61 before being dismissed by Washington Sundar, concluding PM's XI innings.

The early dismissal of opener Matthew Renshaw for five runs set back PM's XI as Mohammed Siraj claimed his wicket. Jayden Goodwin followed soon after, edging behind to the keeper off Akash Deep's bowling.

This performance by India's bowlers ensured that PM's XI fell short of reaching 250 runs. The game provided valuable practice for both teams ahead of upcoming fixtures.
