RCB IPL 2025 Full Players List: Check Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Latest Squad
In the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) made a significant move by acquiring England's all-rounder Liam Livingstone for Rs 8.75 crore. RCB engaged in a competitive bidding war with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Delhi Capitals (DC) to secure Livingstone, who was released by Punjab Kings (PBKS) before the auction.
RCB's squad underwent major changes after a disappointing season last year. They released several players, including former captain Faf du Plessis and key pacer Mohammed Siraj. The franchise has not yet announced their new captain, but there are speculations about Virat Kohli possibly taking on the role again.

RCB's New Signings
Besides Livingstone, RCB made several other notable signings at the auction. Phil Salt was acquired for Rs 11.50 crore, while Jitesh Sharma joined the team for Rs 11 crore. Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood was bought for Rs 12.5 crore. Additionally, Rasikh Dar and Suyash Sharma were signed for Rs 6 crore and Rs 2.6 crore respectively.
Retained Players
Despite releasing many players, RCB retained some key figures in their squad. Virat Kohli remains with the team at a cost of Rs 21 crore. Rajat Patidar continues his association with RCB for Rs 11 crore, and Yash Dayal is retained for Rs 5 crore.
The franchise might also consider Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, or Rishabh Pant as potential captaincy candidates during the auction process. These players could be on RCB's radar as they look to strengthen their leadership options.
RCB's strategic moves in the auction reflect their intent to build a competitive team for the upcoming season. With new signings and retained talent, they aim to improve their performance and make a strong impact in IPL 2025.
