Not Ranji Trophy Or IPL, Ishan Kishan Likely To Appear In This T20 Tournament
Indian wicketkeeper Batsman Ishan Kishan, who has been hitting the headlines for not playing cricket for the national and domestic sides, is likely to feature in the DY Patil tournament in Mumbai, according to the reports. Kishan has been away from international cricket since December 2022 due to personal reasons. The youngster had left the South Africa tour midway stating mental fatigue and since then he hasn't been part of any competitive cricket.
Earlier, reports said that Ishan Kishan was ignoring domestic cricket as he was preparing for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). The reports added that Ishan Kishan is eyeing to play directly in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 slated for June.

However, India head coach Rahul Dravid made it clear that every player has to play and perform in some domestic matches only after that they will be picked again for the national side.
On the other hand, the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) said that the left-hander did not show any interest in playing the Ranji Trophy.
Taking cognizance of Ishan Kishan's absence, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to take some stringent actions against the 20-year-old cricketer and he might be dropped from the central contract, said sources.
Ishan Kishan International Stats:
The left-hander appeared in 27 ODIs to notch 933 runs with 210 runs as his career best. He has also played 32 T20 matches to score 796 runs. He has an impressive batting strike rate above 124.
