Ind vs SA Day 1 LIVE: Mohammed Siraj Wreak Havoc South Africa's Batting With 6 Wickets
Responding to a humiliating defeat that India faced at the Centurion, Rohit Sharma and men made a strong comeback on Day 1 of the Cape Town Test. All thanks to Speedster Mohammed Siraj who picked up a six-wicket haul to wreak havoc South Africa's batting order. The pacers dismissed Aiden Markram, Dean Elgar, Tony de Zorzi, David Bedhingham, Kyle Verreynne, Marco Jansen, and Nandre Burger to give a flying start to his side. Siraj was accompanied by Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar who picked up two wickets each and restricted the hosts to a low total of 55 runs.
The first inning was all about 'miyan magic' as Mohammed Siraj's swinging quick deliveries troubled the entire batting lineup to claim 6 wickets. In his 9 overs, Siraj allowed only 15 runs with a super cheap economy rate of 1.7. Out of his 9 overs, 3 were maiden.

Out of 11, 9 batsmen could not even cross the 5-run-mark and kneeled in front of India's pace attack.
Now, the buck has been passed to Indian batters to place a run-mountain in front of South Africa, who are already in pressure after the first inning.
At the toss, Rohit Sharma named Ravindra Jadeja instead of R Ashwin, and Mukesh Kumar in place of Shardul Thakur for this match.
For South Africa, left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj and pacer Lungi Ngidi joined the playing XI in place of Temba Bavuma and Gerald Coetzee, due to injuries. The Cape Town test is also a farewell match for captain Dean Elgar.
"We're in a great position after winning the first Test, but we're very mindful of starting well," said Elgar before the start.
