Mohammad Amaan's Unbeaten 122 Power India Beat Japan In U19 Asia Cup
India's Under-19 cricket team secured a dominant 211-run victory over Japan in the Asia Cup. Mohamed Amaan was the star, scoring an unbeaten 122 off 118 balls. His innings included seven boundaries. India, after being asked to bat first, posted a formidable total of 339 for 6 in their allotted 50 overs.
Ayush Mhatre and KP Karthikeya also made significant contributions with the bat. Mhatre scored a quickfire 54 from just 29 balls, hitting six boundaries and four sixes. Meanwhile, Karthikeya added a solid 57 off 49 balls, including five fours and a six. Their efforts helped India build a strong foundation for their innings.

India's Bowling Performance
On the bowling front, India restricted Japan to just 128 for 8. Despite not being able to bowl out Japan completely, India's bowlers performed well. Karthikeya took two wickets for 21 runs, Hardik Raj claimed two for nine, and Chetan Sharma picked up two for 14.
Japan's Hugo Kelly was their top scorer with a determined knock of 50 off 111 balls. Charles Hinze remained not out on 35. Kelly also contributed with the ball, taking two wickets for 42 runs. Kiefer Yamamoto-Lake supported him by claiming two wickets for 84 runs.
Tournament Progress
This victory marked India's first win in Group A after losing their opening match against Pakistan by 43 runs. The team is set to face the United Arab Emirates in their final group game on Wednesday. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals on December 6, with the final scheduled for December 8.
C Andre Siddarth (38), Hardik Raj (25 not out), and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (23) also chipped in with valuable contributions to India's total score. Their efforts ensured that India had enough runs on the board to comfortably defend against Japan.
The Indian team will aim to continue their winning momentum as they prepare for their upcoming matches in the tournament. With key players like Amaan and Karthikeya in form, they have a strong chance of progressing further in the competition.
