Know What Secret Jhulan Goswami Shared With Young Pacer

India's pacer, Titas Sadhu, expressed her deep connection with the legendary Jhulan Goswami, highlighting how Goswami's advice to focus solely on "bowling fast" remains a guiding principle in her daily routine. During the recent T20I match against Australia in Navi Mumbai, 19-year-old Titas impressively mirrored Goswami's success, delivering one of the most remarkable bowling spells for any Indian bowler. Her figures of 4-0-17-4 contributed significantly to India's commanding nine-wicket victory in the first T20I. Titas' exceptional performance marked the first instance since Goswami's exceptional 3.5-1-11-5 against Australia in March 2012 that an Indian bowler claimed four or more wickets in a T20I match.

"I can tell you one thing. That was the first conversation I had with Jhulan di and she told me 'stop thinking about everything else, just bowl fast'.

"'Because if you're a fast bowler, you have to bowl fast', and I think that has been a key," Titas said expressing her gratitude towards the senior cricketer.

She also called Goswami a mentor for life.

"Jhulan Goswami has been a big part of my life because I first saw her when I was 13 and then she has been in constant presence," she said.

"Right now, she is in Delhi with the Bengal team, which I'm supposed to probably join after this is done. Working with her is a great opportunity (which) not a lot of people have because you get that experience." "And how many players have played like more than 100 matches for India and for 20 years? I'm not even 20 years old!," Titas said.
