KL Rahul Returns! Kannadigas Celebrate South Star's Come Back In Team India For Sri Lanka Tour: Check Squads
The Board of Control for the Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally announced India squads for Sri Lanka's tour. Team India is slated to play 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches starting July 27, 2024, against Sri Lanka in the island nation.
BCCI's senior men's cricket team selection committee-led by former cricketer Ajit Agarkar, along with new head coach Gautam Gambhir picked up players for the upcoming IND vs SL series.

Surprising everyone, the selection committee stamped Surya Kumar Yadav's name as the new T20 captain instead of regular vice-captain Hardik Pandya, who was expected to be Rohit Sharma's successor. Rohit Sharma had announced his T20 retirement minutes after winning the T20 World Cup 2024.
BCCI informed the media that ace cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be available for the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
But the most interesting thing here was wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul's return. Soon after the team announcement, Kannadiga fans started celebrating KL Rahul's comeback in the ODI team. Hunderds of posts wishing good luck to KL Rahul started to surface on social media platforms.
Several posts shared his last year's batting clips with captions that their star is ready to play match-winning knocks for Team India again.
Earlier today, a hashtag #KLRahul was trending on micro-blogging site X as fans were demanding to give reigns of the team to South Star.
