Karnataka: KL Rahul, Wife Athiya Offer Prayers At Bappanadu Temple Ahead Of Team Announcement For Lanka Tour
Ahead of the team announcement for the Sri Lanka tour, cricketer KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty recently visited Karnataka's famous Bappanadu Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple in Mangaluru to offer prayers. A video of a celebrity couple performing pooja is doing round the internet, and people are praising the cricketer and actor for being connected to their roots and performing rituals.
Cricketer KL Rahul, who was dropped from the World Cup squad despite performing well in past series and Indian Premier League 2024, is eyeing a comeback now and he must have prayed for another opportunity to serve the national team.

According to the reports, a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) senior men's team selector's panel led by former cricketer Ajit Agarkar will announce Team India for Sri Lanka's tour on Tuesday. As per the schedule, India and Sri Lanka will play 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches on India's tour to Sri Lanka.
KL Rahul is expecting a comeback this time and will surely try to perform his best against Sri Lanka.

It was also learned that in place of Rohit Sharma, who recently announced his retirement from the shortest format of the game, Hardik Pandya may lead the side. While KL Rahul may get the responsibility to be his deputy.
Notably, Hardik Pandya has requested time out from the cricket governing body after the T20 series following some personal reasons and he will not play in the ODI series. While regular captain Rohit Sharma will be available for the one dayers.
