After former cricketer Irfan Pathan posted a picture with his wife on his 8th Anniversary, some radical Islamic social media users criticised Irfan Pathan and Safa Baig for revealing her face and not wearing a burka.

This was the first time in 8 years that Irfan Pathan shared a picture of his wife Safa Baig with her face uncovered.

A social media user said, "Muslim khatoons ko hijab mein rehna chaye," (Muslim women should cover their faces with Hijab). Another user criticised Safa Baig saying, "Being a Muslim, you should not reveal her publicly."

Another user told Irfan Pathan to take some lessons from his brother Yusuf Pathan, who always takes care that his wife should be fully covered. The comment also carried a photo of Yusuf Pathan and his wife, who was donning the long black dress from head to toe. "That's why your brother is better than you," he said.

However, the cricketer paid a deaf ear to such worthless remarks.
