IPL Star Mayank Yadav Gets India Call Vs Bangladesh: Check T20 Squad
Mayank Yadav, a promising young fast bowler, has been called up to the Indian national cricket team for the first, marking a significant milestone in his career. This announcement was made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (B) as they revealed the 15-player roster for the forthcoming T20 International series against Bangladesh.
Mayank's impressive performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the year were a testament to his skill, despite his season being prematurely ended by a hamstring injury. Additionally, Varun Chakravarthy, the Kolkata Knight Riders' enigmatic spinner, is making his return to the team nearly three years after his last appearance, which was during the 2021 T20 World Cup held in the UAE.

"The Men's Selection Committee has picked India's 15-member squad for the upcoming IDFC FIRST Bank T20I series against Bangladesh. After the completion of the Test series, India will play three T20Is at Gwalior, New Delhi, and Hyderabad," the BCCI stated.
This series, beginning on October 6 in Gwalior, sees Suryakumar Yadav at the helm as captain with Hardik Pandya also included in the squad. However, players like Ishan Kishan and Jasprit Bumrah did not find a spot in the lineup. The team also includes two wicketkeepers, Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma, adding depth to the squad.
Since April 30, Mayank Yadav has been recuperating from an injury sustained during the IPL 2024, putting him out of action for a significant period. The squad also welcomes KKR's Harshit Rana, potentially opening up opportunities for him in the absence of seasoned players such as Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
India's squad for the 3 T20Is against Bangladesh is complete with the inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, JItesh Sharma (wk), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, and Mayank Yadav.
This series against Bangladesh is eagerly anticipated, and the inclusion of fresh faces along with the return of seasoned players adds an exciting dynamic to the team. With a blend of experience and youth, the Indian squad looks to put on a strong performance against Bangladesh in the upcoming series.
