The young fast bowler hailing from Uttar Pradesh was part of the Gujarat Titans in 2023, and moved to RCB in 2024.

The young-gun was picked up by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for Rs 5 crore in the IPL 2024 auction, who repaid the whooping amount by match-winning performances. He knocked down 15 wickets for RCB.

Dayal revealed that Kohli made the youngsters in the team feel extremely comfortable. "The biggest thing he (Kohli) said to me was that he will back me the whole season. He told me that I will not feel like I have come to a new place, and he backed me completely," Dayal told Sports Tak. This support was a huge boost for Dayal, who added that Kohli talks to youngsters in a very healthy way and is nothing like what people say about him on TV.

Meanwhile, Jay Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), congratulated Virat Kohli for completing 16 years of playing international cricket. Kohli made his international debut in an ODI against Sri Lanka at Dambulla, just months after leading India to victory in the Under-19 World Cup at Kuala Lumpur.
