That effort pushed Sooryavanshi to 776 runs from 16 matches this season, but Rajasthan Royals still missed a place in the final.

Gujarat Titans openers Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan remain the closest challengers for the IPL 2026 Orange Cap. Gill hit a century in Qualifier 2 and reached 722 runs, moving into second place. Sudharsan’s half-century lifted the batter to 710 runs and third spot in the standings.

IPL 2026 Orange Cap and Purple Cap battle: Kagiso Rabada leads bowlers

Kagiso Rabada changed the IPL 2026 Purple Cap standings with figures of 2/35 against Rajasthan Royals. The Gujarat Titans pacer now has 28 wickets from 16 matches. Rabada sits two wickets clear of Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar before the decider in Ahmedabad.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar remains second in the Purple Cap table with 26 wickets. Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Jofra Archer ended the season third with 25 wickets in 16 games. Chennai Super Kings pacer Anshul Kamboj is fourth on 21 wickets, and Eshan Malinga of Sunrisers Hyderabad is fifth with 20 wickets.

The leading run-scorers’ chart is still filled by players from teams that reached the playoffs. Sunrisers Hyderabad batters Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan hold fourth and fifth positions, with 624 and 602 runs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru player Virat Kohli is sixth with 600 runs and remains an outside contender.
