IPL 2024: Know Who Is Purple Cap Winner, Highest Number Of Wickets, Cash Prize

Indian Premier League aka IPL 2024 has a new champion now. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a dominating manner as they registered an 8-wicket victory with nearly 10 overs left.

Like they say, that cricket is a team game, Kolkata and Hyderabad, winner and runner-up of IPL 2024, proved that only collective effort can make the team win.

IPL 2024's best batter and best bowler were not from these two finalist teams.

RCB's Virat Kohli bagged the Orange cap, while Punjab Kings Harshal Patel won the purple cap award.

Harshal Patel, a young gun, knocked 24 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 19.87.

He was followed by Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah with 20 wickets in 13 matches, and 19 wickets by SRH's T Natarajan, who impressed everyone with his speed in 13 matches.

Arshdeep Singh (19) was another Punjab Kings speedster on the list of bowlers with the most wickets in IPL 2024.

For winning the IPL 2024 Purple Cap, Harshal Patel will get a cash prize of Rs 15 Lakh.
