IPL 2024: Know Who Is Orange Cap Winner, Runs He Scored, And Cash Prize
Indian Premier League aka IPL 2024 was full of entertainment, last-ball thrillers, and a show of the best cricketing skills by best of the players from around the world. Cricket fans enjoyed raining sixes and fours around the stadiums in an enthralling 74 matches.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)'s ace batter Virat Kohli scored 741 runs in 15 matches with an impressive strike rate of 154.69. India's one of the best batters and spine of RCB's batting line Virat Kohli notched runs at an average of 61.75, which powered the team to miraculously qualify for the IPL playoffs.

However, RCB's dream to win the cup was broken by Rajasthan Royals who defeated them in the eliminator match.
For his heroic consistent batting throughout the season and for scoring the highest runs (741), Virat Kohli was awarded with Orange Cap. He scored 5 half-centuries and 1 century this season studded with 38 sixers and 62 fours.
The winner of Orange cap will get a prize of Rs 15 Lakh.
Indian cricket fans would surely be happy with the kind of form he is in, and would expect a number of centuries in the upcoming world tournament. Former India and RCB captain did not leave for the USA for the 2024 T20 World Cup and will join the rest of the team later.
This was the second time when Virat Kohli was decorated with the prestigious cricketing award. Earlier in 2016, Virat Kohli won the Orange cap for scoring 973 runs in 16 matches. He averaged over 81 and strike rate was 152.03.
Notably, no other player has crossed the 900 runs in the history of the IPL.
