IPL 2024: Sunil Gavaskar Calls KKR's Rahmanullah Gurbaz 'A Replica Of MS Dhoni'
Ahead of the much-awaited Indian Premier League aka IPL 2024 edition, former Indian cricket captain Sunil Gavaskar expressed optimism for a better cricketing generation that India's franchise cricket is producing. IPL has been a great platform for national and international stars to showcase their talent and prove their metal.
Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who has been really productive for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), is surely a match-winner and helped his team emerge victorious on several occasions.

Gavaskar, who is renowned for his cricketing insights and match predictions, compared the Afgan cricketer with former skipper, MS Dhoni, heightening expectations from the young wicketkeeper-batsman in the upcoming franchise cricket league.
Expressing a desire to see Gurbaz included in the KKR playing XI as one of the foreign players, Gavaskar emphasized the aggressive batting style of the Afghan cricketer, suggesting it could significantly benefit the team's fortunes in the forthcoming IPL season.
During a chat show on the Star Sports network, Gavaskar said, "I've been highly impressed by Rahmanullah Gurbaz's batting. His aggressive approach bears resemblance to that of MS Dhoni, which is why I find it particularly intriguing."
"When the World Cup ended, after that, the job he did, he gave money to the people sleeping on the footpath. For doing that, he has to definitely be in the team for me," Gavaskar added.
