To ensure smooth proceedings, Gwalior Collector and District Magistrate Ruchika Chauhan has imposed restrictive orders under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code, effective until October 7. This decision comes in light of protests by various local organizations against recent events in Bangladesh, marked by rallies, effigy burnings, and other demonstrations in Gwalior.

In response, the police have increased monitoring, especially on social media platforms, to prevent the spread of inflammatory messages, videos, or images that could stir communal tensions. A strict ban on carrying weapons is in place, and security has been tightened citywide to ensure a peaceful match.

Both teams arrived in Gwalior on Wednesday afternoon amid rising protests regarding Bangladesh's participation. To avoid any incidents, security measures were ramped up. While the Indian team exited the airport through the front gate, the Bangladesh team was discreetly escorted out the back and placed in a Volvo bus under heavy security. Additional members of the Bangladesh squad arrived later that evening on a 4 PM flight, all escorted safely to their hotels with a large security convoy.
