India Beats Australia By 4 Wickets, Enters Champions Trophy 2025 Finals

Team India stormed into the Champions Trophy 2025 finals beating Australia by 4 wickets on Tuesday at Dubai's International Stadium. It was a nail-biting 249-run chase as Australia bowlers didn't allow Indian batters to chase the moderate target easily.

Virat Kohli's 84-run knock along with Shreyas Iyer's 45 set the momentum for India. After this, KL Rahul (42*) and Hardik Pandya (28) powered India to beat Australia to seal the finals ticket.

Till the 46th over, it was a run-a-ball chase for India, when Hardik Pandya fired two back-to-back sixes in two balls off Adam Zampa to take India home.

Team India will now face the winner of the second semi-final, which will happen between New Zealand and South Africa, on Sunday.

In the bowling department, Mohammed Shami picked up 3 wickets for 48 runs, while Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja picked 2 wickets each.

For Australia, Steve Smith notched 73 runs off 96 balls and Alex Carey scored 61 runs off 57 balls, resulting in setting a reputable target.

Today's victory was India's first win against Australia in 14 years in an ICC knockout match. The last time India defeated Australia in an ICC knockout match was in the 2011 ODI World Cup quarter-final in Motera.
