ICC Test Rankings: Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal Move Up, Rohit Sharma Slip One Spot
Senior India batter Virat Kohli has climbed two spots to eighth in the latest ICC Test rankings. Meanwhile, his captain Rohit Sharma has dropped one place to sixth. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal also made it to the top 10, moving up to seventh.
Veteran England batter Joe Root remains the top-ranked Test batter globally after their success against Sri Lanka in Manchester. However, his teammate Harry Brook has made significant progress, jumping three places to fourth overall with scores of 56 and 32 in the Old Trafford match.

Key Movements in ICC Test Rankings
Pakistan's Babar Azam has experienced a notable drop, falling six places from a shared third to ninth after a rare failure in the first innings against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan has gained seven spots, reaching a career-high rating by moving into the top 10 at a shared 10th following his century in the same match.
Mushfiqur Rahim of Bangladesh has achieved a career-high rating as well, climbing seven spots to 17th. England seamer Chris Woakes is up four rungs to 16th, and Sri Lanka's Asitha Fernando has moved up 10 spots to 17th.
Bowlers and All-Rounders
India's seasoned off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin continues to hold the top spot among bowlers. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja have maintained their positions at third and seventh respectively. Pakistan's right-arm pacer Naseem Shah is up four spots to 33rd, while England's Gus Atkinson has moved up four places to 42nd.
Ashwin and Jadeja also dominate the all-rounder rankings, occupying the top two spots. Axar Patel is ranked sixth among all-rounders.
