ICC Rankings: Jasprit Bumrah Equals R Ashwin's THIS Record
Jasprit Bumrah has maintained his position at the top of the ICC Test bowling rankings. His remarkable performance in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, including a nine-wicket haul at the Gabba, has solidified his standing. With 904 rating points, Bumrah has matched R Ashwin's record for the highest points achieved by an Indian bowler.
In the latest ICC rankings update, Jasprit Bumrah's career-best rating points have kept him ahead of competitors like Kagiso Rabada and Pat Cummins. Rabada is close behind with 856 points, while Cummins holds fourth place with a best of 914 points. Despite not yet achieving a 10-wicket match haul, Bumrah's 21 wickets in the Australia series highlight his peak form.

Changes in Bowler Rankings
Ravindra Jadeja experienced a drop in his ranking, slipping to 10th place after failing to take any wickets in Brisbane. Meanwhile, on the batters' list, Travis Head climbed to No. 4 following another significant score in the series. His second consecutive century contributed to this rise.
Yashasvi Jaiswal from India moved down one spot to No. 5, while Rishabh Pant exited the top 10. Steve Smith re-entered at No. 10 after scoring a century at the Gabba. Among other Indian players, KL Rahul advanced by ten places to reach 40th position, and Ravindra Jadeja improved by nine spots to secure 42nd place.
Upcoming Matches and Player Performances
The fourth Test match of the series is set to begin on Thursday, December 26th. This Boxing Day clash promises more thrilling cricket action as players aim to improve their standings further. The performances in this match could lead to additional shifts in rankings for both bowlers and batters.
