Gautam Gambhir Feels India Vs Pakistan Is Not The Biggest Rivalry Anymore, Names This Country Instead
Former cricketer and the unsung hero of the 2011 World Cup victory, Gautam Gambhir feels that India vs Pakistan is not the biggest rivalry of cricket anymore. During a chat show on StarSports, Gautam Gambhir expressed his thoughts stating India vs Pakistan game has lost its charm as both the teams do not play much cricket together due to unstable political relations. For the last decade, India and Pakistan have only been locking horns at the ICC tournaments and the continental clashes, and have not played any bilateral series.
Underlining Rohit Sharma and men's heartbreaking defeats in the World Cup final and the World Test championship, the left-hander said India vs Australia is now the biggest rivalery, arguabelly. India and Australia have the best of the talent which often leads to a nail-biting situation that fans love to watch.

"India and Australia, from a cricketing point of view, is a top rivalry. If you ask a cricket fan what is the actual rivalry, they will also say India and Australia," Gambhir said on Star Sports.
Comparing recent performances and the kind of talent both nations are representing on the international stage, Gambhir gave an edge to the men in blue.
"Pakistan has dominated India a lot of times. Currently, if you see the level of both teams, India is far superior to Pakistan in all three formats. If Pakistan defeats India it's an upset, if India defeats Pakistan, it's very much given," he added.
India triumphed over Pakistan in the World Cup to continue the unbeaten record. Both the teams have faced each other on eight occasions and every time India handed over defeat to Pakitan.
Team India will hopefully meet Pakistan and Australia in the T20 World Cup slated for June this year. Towards the end of 2024, the Men in Blue will also tour Australia to participate in the four-Test series, which will also be a part of the World Test Championship (WTC).
