In most cases, celebrities remove pictures of their former partners after a breakup or divorce. However, Dhanashree Verma, who recently parted ways with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal after five years of marriage, has not followed this trend.

Several photos of the former couple still remain on Dhanashree's social media profile, with the most recent one dated July 23, 2024. In the post, she had shared a heartfelt birthday wish for Chahal, calling him the "greatest spinner and a winner." She praised his dedication and passion for the game, signing off as his "biggest cheerleader."

For those unfamiliar with the development, reports earlier this week revealed that Chahal had agreed to pay ₹4.75 crore as permanent alimony to Dhanashree. Of this, ₹2.37 crore has already been paid, while the remaining amount is yet to be cleared. The delay in payment was flagged as non-compliance by the family court.

After months of speculation, Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma were officially granted a divorce on March 20, 2025. The couple, who got married in 2020, had reportedly been living separately for the past 18 months. Confirming the legal separation, Chahal's lawyer, Nitin Kumar Gupta, told ANI, "The court has granted the decree of divorce, and both parties are no longer husband and wife."

However, the timeline has raised some eyebrows. While the lawyer claimed the couple had been living apart for 18 months, Dhanashree's last public post about Chahal was just eight months ago, in July 2024.

Following the divorce proceedings, Dhanashree made her first public appearance, where she briefly interacted with the paparazzi. When asked about her separation from Chahal, she chose not to comment.

Instead, she subtly nodded her head and a hand gesture. When further questioned about the divorce, she deflected the topic by saying, "Gana suno pehle" (Listen to the song first), referring to her trending song.
