Champions Trophy 2025: Team India Unlikely To Visit Pakistan, Sri Lanka or UAE May Host Event
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025's location ignited major debate following BCCI's firm stance against Team India traveling to Pakistan for the tournament.
A BCCI source told ANI, "India will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. We will tell ICC to hold its matches in Dubai or Sri Lanka."

The issue arose when Pakistan proposed consolidating all of India's matches in Lahore to minimise travel. However, BCCI remains unconvinced about the feasibility of sending their team to Pakistan amidst ongoing geopolitical and security reasons.
BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla underscored the board's position, stating, "In the case of the Champion Trophy, we will do whatever the Government of India will tell us to do. We send our team only when the Government of India permits us."
Pakistan, as the defending champions from the last tournament held in 2017, faces the potential relocation of the tournament to Sri Lanka or the UAE.
This scenario mirrors the Asia Cup 2023, where India's matches were also played in Sri Lanka due to similar concerns.
