Australia Crushes West Indies, Wins 3rd ODI In Only 6.5 Overs To Set Record
Australia marked a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series against West Indies on Tuesday after they registered a dominating victory by achieving the target in only 6.5 overs. At the start, Australian skipper Steve Smith won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first at Canberra's bouncy and flat wicket. The decision to bowl first was proven right as speedster Xavier Bartlett toppled 4 batsmen. Adam Zampa and Lance Morris also picked up two wickets each to restrict West Indies for a low total.
West Indies, who is one of the specialist teams for cricket's limited over format, could not even cross the 100-run mark and were bundled out in the 25th over.

It looked like team Australia was in a hurry to reach somewhere. The way they bowled out the hosts, they batted likewise, in a dominating manner.
Australia opener Jake Fraser-McGurk and Josh Inglis played some big hands from the start, and their blitzkrieg knocks of 41 off 18 and 35 off 16 entertained the fans a lot. However, West Indian fans did not like their bashing. McGurk hit three towering sixes in his inning, while Inglis struck one sixer.
Steve Smith and side won this match with 259 balls remaining to set a world record in the history of ODI cricket. Earlier in September 2004, Australia had defeated the USA with 253 balls remaining. At that time, the Kangaroos scored 66 runs in just 7.5 overs, and now they have surpassed their own record.
