Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar Emerge Heros For India At Bangalore, Watch Nail-Biting Victory Video
It was a show of collective efforts by the Men in Blue who pipped Australia by 6 runs in the fifth and final T20 match at the M Chinaswamy Stadium on Sunday. After winning the toss, the visitors invited India to bat first on a tacky track. Indian openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (21) and Rituraj Gaikwad (10) started the inning steadily but failed to stay on the pitch for long. Shreyas Iyer's 37-ball fifty (53), followed by Jitensh Sharma's quick 24 runs and Axar Patel's crucial 31 runs down the order helped the hosts to post a respectable total of 160 runs.
But the bowling department fueled by the pace of Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar stole the show. Both the speedsters did a fabulous job in the death overs restricting Australia to only 154 runs in 20 overs. Defending 10 runs in the last over, Arshdeep Singh kept his cool and conceded only 3 runs by repeatedly hitting the block-hole in the last 6 balls.

No praise is enough for Mukesh Kumar who knocked down 3 Aussie batsmen for 32 runs. Kumar's 17th turned the table in favor of India with back-to-back dismissals and allowing only 5 runs when the target was a gettable 37 runs in 24 balls with 5 wickets left.
For Australia, Ben McDermott did the power-hitting. In his 54 off 36, Ben struck 5 sixes, which left Indian bowlers bewildered. Jason Behrendorff and Ben Dwarshuis bagged 2 wickets each. But luck favoured the brave Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar who clinched a thrilling victory for India making it 4-1 in the five-match series.
