Abhishek Sharma’s Scintillating 141 Against PBKS Powers SRH To Record-Breaking IPL Run Chase
Abhishek Sharma delivered one of the most electrifying innings in Indian Premier League history, blasting 141 off just 55 balls to help Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) chase down a daunting target of 246 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2025 edition of the IPL.
Abhishek was in scintillating form, hammering 14 fours and 10 sixes, as SRH reached the target with a remarkable nine balls to spare.

In doing so, he broke several records, including the highest individual score ever recorded during a run chase in IPL history.
Abhishek's 141 surpassed Marcus Stoinis' unbeaten 124 as the top score in a successful chase. Overall, his innings now ranks as the third-highest individual score in IPL history-behind only Chris Gayle's iconic 175 in 2013 and Brendon McCullum's 158 in the inaugural IPL match back in 2008.
Stoinis had struck his 124* in IPL 2024 while playing for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Even on Saturday, Stoinis displayed his batting prowess, smashing 34 runs off just 11 deliveries, including four consecutive sixes off Mohammed Shami in the final over of the PBKS innings.
However, despite the fireworks from Stoinis and others, it was Abhishek's breathtaking knock that stole the show.
