Buses to Signature Bridge Now Operating Over Khajuri Flyover to Ease Traffic Congestion

The Delhi government's Transport Department has announced that buses to Signature Bridge will now operate over the Khajuri flyover. This change aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety for commuters from nearby areas.

The Delhi government's Transport Department has introduced a new bus route to alleviate traffic congestion in North-East Delhi. Buses heading towards Signature Bridge via Khajuri Chowk will now travel over the Khajuri flyover. This change aims to provide a faster and smoother commute for residents of areas like Khajuri, Bhajanpura, and Yamuna Vihar.

According to a statement, this new routing will involve buses on 15 routes using the flyover. This adjustment is expected to reduce traffic jams at Khajuri Chowk and save time for passengers. The initiative is part of efforts to improve transportation in the region.

Traffic Relief for Commuters

Kapil Mishra, Minister in charge of the North-East parliamentary constituency and MLA from Karawal Nagar, expressed optimism about the decision. "Traffic congestion at Khajuri Chowk has been a long-standing problem. This step by the government and the DTC Delhi Transport Corporation will help ease it significantly," he stated.

The minister highlighted that this change would bring significant relief to residents by ensuring convenience and saving time. It also promises safer transportation for many commuters from Karawal Nagar and nearby areas.

Implementation Details

The new arrangement has been operational since September 8 and will continue until further notice. Officials have confirmed that there will be no changes to bus stops or fare stages, ensuring regular services for passengers.

Minister Mishra assured that all updates and information would be shared through DTC's official website and online ticketing app. This measure is intended to keep passengers informed and ensure their convenience.

This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to address traffic issues in North-East Delhi, providing a more efficient public transport system for its residents.
