Sachin Tendulkar praised Akash Deep as the standout bowler, highlighting his delivery to dismiss Joe Root as the ball of the series. Akash Deep achieved figures of 6 for 99 in the second innings, contributing to a match haul of 10 for 187.

Mohammed Siraj also played a crucial role, taking seven wickets across both innings. Tendulkar expressed admiration on X for India's strategy to dominate England and ensure a decisive win. He noted the impressive lengths bowled by the Indian bowlers, particularly Akash Deep's standout performance.
Bowling Excellence and Catching Highlights
Tendulkar humorously mentioned Siraj's diving catch at short mid-wicket, referring to him as "Jonty" Siraj. "Enjoyed the catch taken by Mohammad 'Jonty' Siraj," commented Tendulkar, who holds 51 Test hundreds. The batting effort was also lauded for setting up an easy win.
Virat Kohli, recently retired, shared his thoughts: "Great victory for India at Edgbaston. Fearless and kept pushing England to the wall. Brilliantly led by Shubman with the bat and in the field and impactful performances from everyone. Special mention to Siraj and Akash for the way they bowled on this pitch."

Sourav Ganguly praised Shubman Gill and his team for their performance with both bat and ball. "What a performance from Shubman Gill and his team... with the bat and now with the ball... Laxman also praised Shubman Gill's captaincy debut: "Congratulations Shubman on an outstanding match with the bat and for leading the team with such poise." He acknowledged Siraj and Akashdeep's efforts, wishing them success in future matches.
