Eligibility Criteria

Is the stipend paid in cash?

No, cash payments are not made. The stipend will be directly transferred to your bank account using electronic methods like Aadhaar Payments Bridge (APB) or Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS).

Will I get a certificate after completing the internship?

Yes, upon successful completion of your internship, the respective office where you were attached will issue you a certificate.

Does MoSPI cover travel expenses for the internship?

No, the Ministry does not provide any Travelling Allowance or Daily Allowance for travelling to the internship location or for returning after completion.

Are accommodation and food arrangements provided for interns?

No, selected candidates are responsible for making their own arrangements for lodging, boarding, and transportation.

Can interns undertake field visits? If yes, for how long?

Yes, if you are placed in NSSO (FOD) Zonal/Regional Offices, you can receive an additional ₹250 per day for field visits. These visits should not exceed a total of 10 days during your 2-month internship period.

What extra facilities can interns expect?

Internship offices aim to provide basic logistics support, such as office space, intercom facility, a computer, and internet access. However, depending on the situation, you might need to bring your own laptop.

Can interns use the office library?

Yes, you will have access to literature available in the office or library. You can also interact with concerned officers through your assigned guide to get assistance with your assignments.
