Details

Thinking about starting a mushroom farm or expanding your current one? The Mushroom Production Scheme in Uttarakhand could be your big break! This initiative by the Department of Horticulture is designed to give a real push to mushroom cultivation across the state.

What Is This Scheme?

The Mushroom Production Scheme is all about making mushroom farming more accessible and profitable. It offers financial help, in the form of subsidies, to individuals and even government bodies looking to set up units for growing mushrooms, making compost, or producing spawn. The main goal is to increase mushroom output in Uttarakhand and ensure farmers earn more.

Who Can Benefit From This Scheme?

This scheme is primarily for residents of Uttarakhand who are keen on mushroom cultivation. Whether you're an experienced farmer or just starting, if you have land (either owned or leased) and are interested in growing mushrooms, you can apply. It also supports public sector entities like government departments and universities.

Why This Scheme Is Important

Mushroom farming can be a lucrative business, and this scheme aims to unlock that potential. By providing financial assistance, it lowers the initial investment barrier for farmers. This helps in increasing the supply of high-quality mushrooms, creating more job opportunities, and contributing to the state's agricultural economy.

Objective

This scheme by Uttarakhand's Horticulture Department helps people grow mushrooms by offering subsidies to set up production, compost, and spawn units, boosting farmer income.
