This scheme offers short-term practical experience in various departments of the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for selected students, who will work as interns at the Head Office or Project Office.

Benefits

Stipend:

Interns would be paid a stipend of₹10,000/-per month. The processing of payment towards the stipend amount will be initiated after the completion of the internship period.

Number of Interns:

Maximum Number of Interns selected at a time will not be more than 20.

Period of Internship:

The period of Internship shall be minimum one month and maximum three months.
After completing internship, students will be awarded an Experience Certificate.
Those who will not satisfactorily complete the requisite period of internship will not be awarded any certificate or stipend.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following criteria:

You are currently studying or have completed a Graduate or Postgraduate degree from a recognized university (national or international).
If you are applying as an undergraduate student, you must have scored at least 75% marks in your Class 12 exams.
If you are applying as a postgraduate student, you must have scored at least 60% marks in your Graduation.
If you are applying as a Research Scholar, you must have scored at least 60% marks in your Postgraduate degree.

The stipend will be paid upon satisfactory completion of your internship period.
