    Eligibility Criteria

    1. You must be a new writer publishing your first original literary work in Gujarati.
    2. Your manuscript should be an original piece of literature like a novel, play, essay collection, poetry collection, or autobiography.
    3. The work must be purely literary and original; edited collections or non-literary subjects are not eligible.
    4. You should not have received more than five grants from any academy affiliated with the Gujarat Sahitya Academy.
    5. The manuscript needs to be typed, properly bound, paginated, and submitted in two copies.
    6. Once submitted, you cannot change the title, content, or format without getting written permission from the Academy.

    Remember: You can submit only one application per financial year.
