The Madhya Pradesh government, through its Tribal Affairs Department, has rolled out the 'Pratibha Yojana' to give a much-needed push to talented Scheduled Tribe (ST) students aiming for higher studies.

Benefits

Under this scheme, scholarships will be provided to the students belonging to Scheduled Tribes at the following rates:

For Classes 1 to 5:

  1. ₹250/- per year (for 10 months) to all girls and boys belonging to special backward tribes (Baiga, Saharia, and Bharia).

For Classes 6 to 8:

  1. ₹200/- per year (for 10 months) for boys.
  2. ₹600/- per year (for 10 months) for girls.

Note:The scholarship will be deposited directly into the student's bank account.

  1. You must be a student.
  2. You must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.
  3. You must belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.
  4. Your annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000.
  5. You must have successfully qualified in one of the following national competitive exams: JEE, NEET, CLAT, AIIMS, or NDA.
  6. You must have secured admission in one of these institutions:
    • IIT/NIT (through JEE)
    • Government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh for MBBS (through NEET)

    • NLU (through CLAT)
    • NDA (through UPSC)

  • Your Aadhaar card must be linked to your bank account.
  • You must possess the admission receipt from your institute.
