Details
In a significant move to support its vulnerable population, the Madhya Pradesh government has launched 'Sparsh Abhiyan'. This initiative is designed to help poor and destitute individuals with disabilities by offering surgical treatment aimed at preventing further disability or correcting existing impairments.
Sparsh Abhiyan is a scheme rolled out by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Madhya Pradesh. Its main goal is to provide financial help for surgeries that can prevent or reduce disability among the state's poor and destitute disabled residents. It covers the reimbursement of expenses incurred on these crucial surgical procedures.
This scheme is specifically for individuals residing in Madhya Pradesh who are recognized as disabled and come from poor or destitute backgrounds. The aim is to offer them a chance at a better quality of life by addressing physical impairments through surgery.
Many poor and destitute disabled individuals in Madhya Pradesh face significant challenges due to their physical conditions. Sparsh Abhiyan addresses this by removing financial barriers to necessary surgical interventions. By providing financial assistance for a range of surgeries, the scheme aims to empower these individuals, prevent long-term disability, and help them lead more fulfilling lives.
