In a move to support the health of Gujarat's hardworking construction workforce, the Dhanvantari Arogya Rath Yojana has been launched. This scheme ensures that construction workers and their families can easily access vital medical care without any hassle.

What Is This Scheme?

The Dhanvantari Arogya Rath Yojana is an initiative by the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board (GBOCWWB), under the Labour, Skill Development & Employment Department. Its main goal is to provide immediate primary medical treatment to construction workers and their loved ones. This helps in preventing serious illnesses and maintaining good health at places like construction sites, labour colonies, and Kadianaka.

This scheme is specifically designed for construction workers who are registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board. Their family members can also avail of the services offered.

  • Cost of transporting water: 50% of the cost (capped at ₹1000/-).
  • Pipe material cost:
    1. HDPE pipe: ₹50 per meter (capped at ₹15,000/- total).
    2. PVC pipe: ₹35 per meter (capped at ₹15,000/- total).
    3. HDPE laminated flat tube pipe: ₹20 per meter (capped at ₹15,000/- total).

    Registered construction workers and their families can avail of the benefits by visiting the Dhanvantari Arogya Rath. These mobile medical units are stationed at Kadianaka and various construction sites.
