To improve participation of students in Pre-matric stages and minimize the incidence of drop-out especially in the case of girl students.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Applicants must be women.
  2. You need to be a permanent resident of Kerala.
  3. Must be unemployed at the time of application and have experienced a career break due to family commitments.
  4. Should not be receiving any salary or stipend from any source when applying.
  5. Individuals who have previously received the KSCSTE 'Back-to-Lab' fellowship for their PhD are not eligible.
  6. Age Limit: 40 years as of the application date. This is relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  7. Must have a PhD degree in any Science or Engineering subject.
  8. A minimum of 60% marks in your Post-Graduation is required.
  9. The research must be conducted in a recognized R&D institution (national/state level) or university department in Kerala. Premier national institutions like IISER, IIT, IISc. outside the state are also considered. Your PhD research centre cannot be the same as the proposed post-doctoral research centre.
  10. You should have at least one research paper published in a SCI Journal or hold a patent.
  11. Candidates who have already received one post-doctoral fellowship (from KSCSTE or elsewhere) are not eligible to apply.
