Sadly, many of these pioneers are no longer with us, and their incredible contributions are often unknown to today's youth. To bridge this gap and celebrate their immense impact, the Tiatr Academy of Goa has launched a special initiative.

Benefits

Funding Assistance for Institutions:
    1. Up to ₹50,000/- or 75% of the actual expenditure, whichever is lower, is provided for organizing approved literary or educational events.
Honorarium for Speakers:
  1. An honorarium of up to ₹2,000/- per speaker can be paid to invited speakers participating in the event.
Note:
  1. Any honorarium amount exceeding ₹2,000/- will not be reimbursed by the Gujarat Sahitya Academy and must be borne by the organizing institution.
  2. Events must be reported with bills, photos, invitation cards, and video recordings.

To be considered for this scheme, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  1. You must be a registered troupe, a cultural institution, or an individual.
  2. You should intend to create and perform a special programme honouring a specific late tiatr artiste.
  3. You need to get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the closest family members of the deceased artiste.
  4. It's mandatory to invite the family members of the artiste to the function.
  5. The first show should ideally be performed in Panjim, Margao, or in the village where the artiste resided.
  6. Your proposal, including details of the programme, script, and lyrics, must be submitted well in advance.
  7. You must follow all the conditions set by the Tiatr Academy of Goa.
  8. Your performance should not include any negative comments, written or verbal, about governments, individuals, or institutions.
  9. All advertisements, including print, electronic media, and banners, must clearly state: 'This programme is held in collaboration with Tiatr Academy of Goa'.

  1. Obtain the prescribed Application Form from the office of the Tiatr Academy of Goa.
  2. Fill out the form completely and gather all the required documents.

    • Prescribed Application Form (available at the Tiatr Academy of Goa office)
    • Self-attested copy of your Aadhaar Card

    • Script of the Tiatr and lyrics of songs (if the performance is a Tiatr)
    • No Objection Certificate from the nearest family members of the late artiste
    • Typed script/lyrics
  • After the Performance:
    • Statement of Expenditure with all original bills (stamped receipts if any amount exceeds ₹5,000)
