For Master ProgrammeThe amount of the scholarship for the Master’s Degree programme is Rs. 7,560/- per month for 2 years with a contingent grant of Rs. 6,000/- per annum for two yearsFor Doctoral ProgrammeIn the Doctoral programme, it is Rs. 13125/- per month for three years with a contingent grant of Rs. 10000/- per annum for three years.

  1. You must be a non-pensioner Ex-Servicemen (ESM) or the widow of an ESM.
  2. Your rank must be Havildar or equivalent, or below.
  3. Your application needs to be recommended by your respective Zila Sainik Board (ZSB).
  4. The medical treatment expenditure must be incurred at government-recognized hospitals.
  5. Treatment costs should be as per rates approved under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) or Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS).

  2. Ensure all copies of documents are attested by the Zila Sainik Welfare Officer (ZSWO).
  3. Submit your application along with the attested documents to the Zila Sainik Board (ZSB).

Documents Required

Make sure to attach attested copies of the following documents with your application:

  • Discharge book or equivalent discharge documents.
  • Identity Card issued by the Zila Sainik Board (ZSB) for both Ex-Servicemen and widows.
  • Original medical bills, countersigned by the doctor who provided the treatment.
  • Hospital discharge summary, also countersigned by the attending doctor.
  • A signed certificate from you confirming that you have not received any reimbursement or medical allowance from your state government or current employer.
  • Your Bank Account details, including the Account Number and IFS Code. The account must be with either the Punjab National Bank (PNB) or the State Bank of India (SBI) only.

Which hospitals are eligible for treatment under this scheme?

Financial aid is only provided for treatments taken at government-approved hospitals. The expenses should also align with the rates set by CGHS or ECHS.

Can I use any bank account for receiving the funds?

No, only bank accounts held with the State Bank of India (SBI) or Punjab National Bank (PNB) are accepted for this scheme.

Whose bank account details should I provide in the application?

You need to provide your own Aadhaar-linked bank account number for the application process.

What rank is the maximum to be eligible for this assistance?
