Eligibility Criteria

  1. You must be a woman and a citizen of either India or France.
  2. If you are an Indian applicant, you should have a PhD degree and a permanent or tenured position in a recognised scientific or academic institution in India. You must be willing to work on collaborative research projects in French institutions or universities.
  3. If you are a French applicant, you must hold a PhD degree, be currently working on a postdoctoral project, and be willing to collaborate on research projects in Indian institutions or universities.
  4. The research visit must happen while you are still employed at your current institution.
  5. You should not have received any postdoctoral fellowship in France or India in the last 5 years.
  6. This fellowship cannot be taken up at the same time as any other fellowship.
  7. Note: Preference will be given to candidates with no prior international exposure.
  8. Note: Candidates with previous R&D experience and publications will also be preferred.
  9. Note: The CEFIPRA may consider relaxing eligibility conditions for exceptional candidates.

The fellowship is tenable for a period of three to four months.

Can I apply if I've received a similar fellowship recently?

No, you are not eligible if you have received any postdoctoral fellowship in France or India during the last 5 years. Also, this fellowship cannot be combined with any other fellowship.

What financial support is provided by the programme?

Indian fellows receive Euros 2000 per month plus allowances and international travel. French fellows receive ₹90,000 per month plus allowances and international travel between France and India.
